The Artist


Martha Douglas was born in Homerville, Georgia, and has spent most of her life in the rural South. She currently lives in Atlanta with her husband, Jed, and three boys, Jude, Frank, and Philip.

Martha graduated from the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia with an A.B. in Art History. Martha’s primary mediums are watercolor, ink, graphite, pastel, and acrylic. Her work is focused on portraiture, nature, and still life, and is heavily influenced by her roots in the South and its history.
